Crean Lutheran’s Lindsey Engel and Ella Eastin not only set Orange County records, but helped the small, private school win the CIF 3 girls swimming title.
Engel broke both marks in the 50 (22.53) and 100 (48.96) freestyles finals. Eastin broke the Division 3 county record in the 200 individual medley with a 1:55.15. Eastin also set a Division 3 record in the 500 free by clocking a lifetime-best 4:44.47
Engel’s 100 and Eastin’s 400 IM is the fastest in the nation this year according to processed All-America applications by NISCA.
