Woodland Christian, California Baseball Team Throws a Pair of No-Hitters in Doubleheader

Robbie Miller (senior) of Woodland Christian opened the two-game set with a no-hitter in a five-inning 19-0 mercy-rule win over Waldorf. In the second game of the double-header, sophomore right-hander Brendan Rodegerdts tossed a perfect game over five innings in a 12-0 mercy-rule victory.

Rodegerdts, normally a shortstop, made his first career start and struck out all 15 batters he faced. Miller, a 6-foot-1, 160-pound lefty struck out 10 and walked one. In all, Woodland Christian pitchers struck out 25 of 32 opponents on the day.
