Santa Margarita Hosts the 16th Annual Eagle Invitational

Santa Margarita Catholic High School Track & Field will host the 16th Annual Eagle Invitational on Saturday, March 2nd.

The Eagle Invitational is a meet that started as a Saturday Tri-Meet with Mater Dei, St. John Bosco, and Santa Margarita before the three were in a league together. The Eagle Invite offers teams a chance to bring all levels to compete in an Invitational setting and provide automatic times for all athletes to start the season. Initiated back in 1997 by Director of Track and Cross Country, Dave Zeitler, the Eagle Invite is a throwback to what an invitational once was; a meet by invite only.

The first official race is 10:00 am with the girls JV 4×100. The unofficial Novice 1600 for boys is set for 9:30 am. The event takes place at the Harry Brittingham Track at Santa Margarita Catholic High School at 22062 Antonio Parkway in Rancho Santa Margarita.
