Bountiful High School of Salt Lake City Captures Its First State Title Since 1977

With two seconds remaining in the 4A state championship game, the Braves were threatened with the same heartbreaking fate of previous seasons. With a one-point lead and Orem at the free-throw line, the Braves watched as the the first attempt flung from the front iron. As the second free-throw misses off the rim to reward Bountiful with its first state championship since 1997 with a 44-43 win.

The championship victory capped a 26-1 season for Bountiful.
