New National Pole Vault Record Set

Northwest High School (Justin, TX) senior Desiree Freier set the new national pole vault record at the Texas Relays. Freier, who stands just 5 feet tall and is a University of Arkansas commit, reached the record vault of 14 feet, 3.25 inches on her first attempt, breaking the old record of 14 feet, 2.75 inches.
