Mary Cain Breaks Her Own World Indoor Junior Record in 1,000 Meters

At just 17, Mary Cain is setting a name for herself.
 The Bronxville, NY, senior won the 1,000 meters at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix in Roxbury Crossing, MA, in 2 minutes, 35.80 seconds to break broke her own world indoor junior record. Cain set the previous mark of 2:39.25 in her second meet as a pro.

Cain is bypassing college to run track professionally.
