High School Illustrated magazine is published four times a year and is a free publication. HSI is dedicated to helping student athletes, families and the community with positive editorial coverage of local student athletes as well as articles on education, fitness and nutrition.
WELCOME! Our first issue was a long time coming!
Welcome to an exciting new magazine, website, and of course, a large sample of our first issue’s content. This issue of High School Illustrated is the South and Central OC edition. There will be four free issues from June 2011 through March 2012, and in 2012 we will be expanding to six issues, and we will also be covering North County. The current issue showcases some of the hottest high school atheletes in our backyard. From the best football players, to a phenomenal freshman tennis star. HSI also resolve some of the many questions students and atheletes often deal with, like how do top athletes handle stress, keep focused, train, and eat? Maybe not the most important questions in your life, but we do hope the answers are fun, informative, and entertaining.
We hope you find other items in this issue interesting, as well.
Jack McBean, from Corona Del Mar High, is 16 years old and just recently signed a professional contract with the Los Angeles Galaxy. Are there other great athletes that we missed? Then what are you waiting for? Submit them to us and get as much info as you can, and we will do our very best to deliver objective and accurate stories to all of our readers. In upcoming issues, we will all have a lot of fun! So please join us during this exciting journey, wherever it may take us.
